Tax Preparation
I prepare income tax returns for individuals (Form 1040) with an emphasis on minimizing tax liability by proactively recommending strategies to reduce current and future taxes. I keep current with new tax laws and procedures through 40 hours of professional education each year mandated by the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy. I assist clients with their unique needs (including, but not limited to):
- New home owners
- Investors in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds
- Owners of residential or commercial rental properties
- Owners of small businesses (sole proprietorship, LLC)
- Executors charged with the responsibility of filing a decedent’s final tax return
- Those considering the tax consequences of rolling over their retirement plans
- Parents of college-bound students
I prepare income tax returns for estates (Form 1041), guiding executors and administrators with issues, such as elections to be made on the estate’s initial income tax return and the decedent’s final income tax return, which can lower the overall tax liability for both the estate and its beneficiaries. I work with estate beneficiaries who inherit retirement plans such as IRAs and 401(k)s, helping them to take distributions from these plans in a tax-efficient manner.
